Brown Bag Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
6-8 peeled apples
4 Tbsps juice of lemon
1/2 c of rum
1/2 c of raisins
1 Tbsp of cinnamon
1 & 1/2 tsps of cloves (ground)
1 & 1/2 tsps of nutmeg
1/2 c of nuts
1 & 1/2 c of sugar (granulated)
1 c of flour plus 2 Tbsps
1/2 tsp of all-spice
1 c of butter
Instructions:
Several hours before you start baking, you combine the juice of lemon & apples. Pour rum in then have it covered w/ water. Blend in 1 Tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp of cloves, 1 tsp nutmeg, all-spice, raisins & nuts.
Have one unbaked 10″ pie crust prepared. Mix 1/2 c sugar, 1 c flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of cloves, all-spice, nutmeg & juice of lemon. Have this mixture blended into prevoius mixture. Pour it into prepared pie crust.
Place pie on flat bake sheet then transfer into brown-paper bag then staple. Have pie baked at four hundred twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit for 60 mins. Cool before serving.
