Crawfish Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb tails of crawfish; peeled
1 onion (medium); chopped
1/4 c of butter
1/2 pepper (green); chopped
1 garlic clove; chopped
2 celery stalks; chopped
1/2 c of mushrooms (fresh); sliced
1 Tbsp of Worcestershire-sauce
1/2 tsp of salt
1 can cream-of-mushroom soup
1/4 tsp of garlic-salt
1/2 tsp of pepper (black)
12 baked patty-shells
Wine (white)
Instructions:
Have crawfish sauteed in heated butter about 5 mins in saucepan. Have tails removed then set them aside in another bowl.
Have mushrooms, garlic, celery, pepper & onions in extra oil ’til softened. Meanwhile, you season the crawfish w/ rest of the ingredients excluding shells & pastry. You then add the flavored tails soup that is in the saucepan.
Cook about 15 mins over mid-heat. Add some wine if your mixture becomes very thick. You spoon mixture into every pastry.
